Role Purpose


The role holder is responsible for managing a team of relationship managers to market and develop significant new business manufacturing business based on thorough market understanding and analysis. Likely to be responsible for the overall relationship delivery of a team of professionals dealing with large accounts or for significant relationship delivery personally. The role holder is required to use a range of competencies and skills relating to service delivery and people management


Key Responsibilities


  • Proactively manage relationships with corporate clients and take accountability for the establishment and maintenance of key relationships to leverage business achievement
  • Acquire new Corporate clients in line with approved department strategies
  • Apply for necessary credit approval and book approved transactions. Enhance overall business through cross sell
  • Ensure preparation of compelling proposals that will meet the bank policies and customer needs and negotiate their acceptance
  • Ensure appropriate risk analysis and risk/returns assessments is carried out to recommend timely remedial actions, wherever appropriate
  • Proactively manage relationships with customers and take personal responsibility for the establishment and maintenance of key relationships to leverage business achievement
  • Regularly review account performance and make appropriate recommendations for optimizing returns
  • Ensure compliance with the bank’s approved policies, procedures and norms to protect the organization's and customer’s interests
  • Manage a team of competent relationship managers and their performance to deliver targeted results and high levels of service


Required Qualification & Experience


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10-15 years of experience in corporate banking (coverage)
  • Comprehensive understanding of various banking products, including treasury and capital markets, cash management, and trade finance
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain quality & relationships
