The Senior Retail Merchandiser is responsible for the supervision of QC+ merchandise production process, including coordination of merchandise suppliers, product selection/quality control, and supply logistics.

· Collaborates with the Merchandise Manager and Design Team colleagues to develop new merchandise requirements and plan new product designs and categories.

· Coordinates product research process to support concepts for new products/product lines and prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations.

· Visits international merchandise trade fairs to evaluate market developments and identify potential new suppliers.

· Coordinates with merchandise suppliers on all aspects of the production process, including contract placement, product sampling and design revisions, quality control, main order finalization, shipping, and delivery, etc.

· Maintains strong working relationships with merchandise suppliers and acts as day-to-day point of contact for all such suppliers.

· Works with the Merchandise Manager and Design Team colleagues to plan parameters for merchandising main orders/reorders, including order quantities, pricing, packaging, labelling, shipping specifics, etc.

· Liaises with the Procurement Team to oversee and support all aspects of the procurement process related to merchandise supply and with the Legal and Finance Teams to process contracts, invoicing, and other documentation related to suppliers.

· Develops a strong collaborative relationship with staff at QM/QC + gift shops, ensuring that relevant aspects of the merchandise production process are communicated and that logistical requirements are coordinated.

· Prepares ad-hoc reports as required.

· Works with the Buying, Design and Technical Teams to set department strategies and then plan balanced and commercial ranges.

· Works with the Buyer to manage the supplier base to maximize availability, supplier, and warehouse service in line with agreed KPIs and timelines.

· Works with the Buying Team to review weekly trading performance on KPIs and to identify any issues and opportunities to respond to weekly trading conditions.

· Plans and prioritizes stock flow into the shops throughout the product life cycle, using all available merchandising and logistics tools to meet availability requirements and targets.

· Ensures sufficient stock to satisfy sales and maintains correct levels of stock to optimize sales and minimize markdowns.

· High degree of market awareness and a detailed knowledge of the retail industry and trends.

Sources/identifies and evaluates potential suppliers to engage for new business.

· At least 3 years of relevant experience in merchandise buying

· Degree-level qualification required.

· Fluency in oral and written English.
