Senior Site Supervisor (Civil & Finishing, Residential Projects)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor with a strong background in DHA residential construction projects. The ideal candidate must be capable of handling projects from foundation to finishing, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and compliance with standards. The role requires strong site management, labor supervision, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and authorities.

Key Responsibilities1. Civil Works Supervision

• Supervise all structural activities, including excavation, foundations, basements, RCC, masonry, waterproofing, and roofing.
• Ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, and concrete works before casting.
• Monitor safety protocols and enforce proper housekeeping on-site.

2. Finishing Works Supervision

• Oversee finishing activities: plaster, flooring, tiling, marble, false ceilings, painting, woodwork, and metalwork.
• Coordinate with MEP teams (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) to avoid rework and site clashes.
• Enforce high-quality workmanship and finishes as per approved benchmarks.
• Ensure timely availability and procurement of finishing materials.

3. Labor & Contractor Management

• Monitor daily labor deployment across civil and finishing trades.
• Supervise subcontractors for productivity, discipline, and timely output.
• Maintain backup options for critical trades to minimize project delays.
• Resolve on-site disputes and enforce adherence to work schedules.

4. Planning & Progress Control

• Prepare weekly and daily work plans for civil and finishing activities.
• Track progress, highlight delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate sequencing of works to prevent bottlenecks (e.g., plaster before electrical fixations).
• Maintain site diary, daily progress reports, and photographic records.

5. Material & Cost Control

• Inspect and verify quality and stock of construction materials (cement, steel, blocks, tiles, paints, fixtures, etc.).
• Raise timely requisitions to avoid work stoppages.
• Verify subcontractor/supplier bills against measured work.
• Monitor usage to prevent wastage and pilferage.

6. Client & Authority Coordination

• Attend client/consultant meetings to report progress and resolve issues.
• Manage inspections, approvals, and correspondence with DHA/other authorities.
• Maintain accurate records to safeguard the project from disputes or penalties.

7. Reporting & Escalation

• Submit daily site reports covering manpower, progress, material updates, and photographs.
• Escalate critical issues such as labor shortages, contractor delays, or supplier failures immediately.
• Ensure transparent communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: DAE Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Experience: 8–10 years of site supervision in residential construction projects (DHA experience is mandatory).
• Technical Expertise: Civil and finishing works (foundation to handover), basements, RCC, waterproofing, plastering, tiling, painting, joinery.
