About the Role
The SEO Manager role is responsible for building and operating a structured organic growth function focused on the US market.
This position owns:
- SEO strategy development
- Technical SEO direction
- Content-driven organic growth systems
- Team leadership and execution discipline
The SEO Manager is expected to build reliable processes, identify growth opportunities, diagnose ranking and traffic issues, and ensure execution quality across all SEO initiatives.
Experience & Core Requirements
- 6–8+ years of experience in SEO
- 3-4 years managing SEO campaigns targeting the US market
- Proven experience driving measurable organic growth for competitive industries
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, content SEO, and authority-building strategies
- Practical experience using AI tools, LLMs, and automation systems to improve SEO research, content workflows, and analysis efficiency.
- Exposure to building or using AI-assisted workflows i.e. prompt frameworks, AI research assistants, content generation pipelines, or automation agents.
- Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring SEO teams
- Experience working in agencies managing multiple client accounts
Strategy Ownership & Organic Growth Planning
You will be responsible for designing and executing SEO strategies that produce measurable organic growth.
This includes:
- Developing SEO roadmaps for local, regional, and national visibility within the US market
- Identifying organic acquisition opportunities through search demand analysis
- Aligning technical SEO, content strategy, and link acquisition into a unified growth plan
- Prioritizing SEO initiatives based on traffic potential, ranking feasibility, and client objectives
- Identify opportunities where AI-assisted research, data analysis, and workflow automation can improve SEO strategy development and execution speed.
- Identifying gaps in current strategies and recommending corrective actions
The SEO Manager is expected to connect SEO activities with real business outcomes, not simply ranking improvements.
Technical SEO Oversight
You will lead technical SEO audits and guide implementation across websites.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, internal linking, site architecture, and page experience
- Identifying and resolving indexing issues, duplicate content, and structural SEO limitations
- Collaborating with development teams on SEO implementation
- Monitoring site health through Search Console and crawl tools
- Evaluate and integrate AI-driven technical auditing tools, log analysis tools, or automated site monitoring systems to improve diagnostic capabilities
- Ensuring websites remain compliant with search engine best practices
Content & On-Page SEO Strategy
Organic growth at Digilatics depends heavily on structured content systems.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading keyword research and search intent mapping
- Defining content frameworks for organic growth
- Guiding SEO writers on content optimization and topical authority
- Structuring landing pages for ranking and CRO metrics
- Improving internal linking structures across websites
- Develop AI-assisted content production workflows that support scalable keyword coverage while maintaining quality and search intent alignment.
- Guide the team on responsible and effective use of LLM tools for research, content outlines, SERP analysis, and content optimization.
Content initiatives should focus on capturing qualified search demand and supporting lead generation goals.
Off-Page SEO & Authority Development
You will guide authority-building strategies across client projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing ethical and scalable link acquisition strategies
- Evaluating backlink profiles and identifying risk factors
- Managing outreach strategies and digital PR initiatives
- Monitoring competitor authority growth and backlink trends
All link-building initiatives must follow search engine guidelines and long-term sustainability principles.
Analytics, Reporting & Diagnostics
SEO decisions must be backed by reliable data.
You will be responsible for:
- Monitoring organic traffic, rankings, crawl activity, and search visibility
- Apply AI-powered analysis tools or custom prompt frameworks to accelerate SEO data interpretation and opportunity identification.
- Diagnosing performance fluctuations
- Building standardized SEO reporting frameworks for clients
- Presenting insights and growth recommendations to internal leadership
- Identifying correlations between organic traffic and lead generation performance
Team Leadership & Execution Discipline
The SEO Manager leads the SEO department and ensures execution quality.
This includes:
- Managing and mentoring SEO specialists and executives
- Assigning tasks and maintaining execution timelines
- Reviewing work for accuracy, strategic alignment, and impact
- Building documentation and (SOPs) standard operating procedures
- Maintaining quality control for deliverables across client accounts
- Maintaining team discipline, training requirements, and coordinating with HR for employment related matters such as leaves and vacation plan, skills enhancement training programs, time-keeping and more.
Team performance will be evaluated based on execution accuracy, organic growth outcomes, operational reliability, and discipline.
Tools & Technical Skills
Strong working experience with the following platforms is expected:
- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics
- Ahrefs
- SEMrush
- Screaming Frog
- Site auditing and rank tracking platforms
- Google Sheets / Excel for SEO data analysis
- Familiarity with LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent AI systems for research, automation, and SEO workflow support.
Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving
This role requires structured analytical thinking.
You should be able to:
- Identify root causes behind ranking volatility
- Diagnose algorithm-related performance changes
- Evaluate competitors' organic strategies
- Translate large datasets into clear strategic actions
Communication & Cross-Team Collaboration
Strong communication skills are essential for this role.
You will:
- Present SEO insights to internal stakeholders and leadership
- Collaborate with content, development, and marketing teams
- Support client-facing discussions when required

- Stay informed about search engine algorithm updates
