Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise entry
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, promptly addressing any concerns or special requests to ensure a positive experience
• Clear tables, bussing dishes, and resetting tables swiftly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area
• Assist with basic math for cash handling, billing, and processing payments accurately using POS systems like POS or cashiering tools

Experience

• Previous restaurant experience in fine dining or food service environments is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to serve confidently
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Experience in guest services roles such as host/hostess or nightclub serving staff is advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items through effective sales techniques to maximize revenue
