Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Upsell menu items, including wines and spirits, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring proper handling of cash handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting stations
• Assist with food preparation when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements efficiently
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu items, including wine knowledge and cocktail experience, to answer guest questions confidently
• Foster guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a memorable dining experience

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with POS transaction processing is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and open table reservations is desirable
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing and sales transactions
• Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants is advantageous but not required
• Demonstrated teamwork skills with the ability to support hosts/hostess duties or bussing when needed
