Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items including wine, spirits, and specialty cocktails
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process sales transactions efficiently
• Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality and guest satisfaction
• Upsell menu items including premium spirits, wine pairings, or special dishes to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and food handling procedures
• Assist with opening or closing duties such as setting up tables, restocking supplies, or cleaning workstations
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining settings or high-volume venues
• Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques including OpenTable reservations management
• Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing sales accurately
• Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation protocols required for food handling roles
• Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales while enhancing guest satisfaction
• Familiarity with food industry standards such as food preparation, serving etiquette, bussing, and guest relations
