Position Summary

The Service Adviser acts as the primary liaison between customers and the workshop team, ensuring seamless communication, efficient service operations, and a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves coordinating service requests, preparing estimates, scheduling maintenance and repair work, and following up on job progress for heavy vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, and specialized mounted systems.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Interface:

Greet and assist customers, accurately identifying their service and repair needs.

Record detailed job requests, equipment condition, and service requirements.

Provide technical explanations and recommendations in a clear, customer-friendly manner.

Service Coordination:

Prepare and issue accurate service estimates, job cards, and quotations.

Liaise with workshop supervisors, technicians, and parts departments to ensure timely job completion.

Track job progress and keep customers updated throughout the service process.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain up-to-date records of all service transactions in the ERP/workshop management system.

Verify job completion, inspect quality of work, and ensure proper documentation before delivery.

Prepare daily/weekly service reports and assist in warranty claim documentation where applicable.

Quality & Compliance:

Ensure all jobs comply with company and manufacturer service standards.

Promote adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workshop.

Customer Relationship Management:

Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure effective resolution.

Build strong long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Service Adviser or similar role in heavy equipment, truck, or trailer service workshops.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and fabrication processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English required; Arabic is an advantage).

Proficiency in service management software or ERP systems.

Customer-focused attitude with problem-solving abilities.

Valid Qatar Driving License preferred.
