Service Engineer

Job Purpose

The Service Engineer ensures technical excellence, provides diagnostic support, and upholds compliance with principal requirements Key responsibilities include achieving KPIs, supporting branches with vehicle diagnostics, coordinating technical teams, preparing for new model launches, and maintaining effective communication with management and principals The role also involves direct customer interaction, collaboration with the Parts Department, and a commitment to continuous training and improvement By maintaining high technical standards, the Service Engineer contributes to service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business success

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand KPIs and work towards achieving set goals

  • Ensure full compliance with principal requirements (TR, STR, duplication tests, EQA, evaluation tests, etc)

  • Build and coordinate a competent technical team (Tech Cell) to ensure tasks are completed effectively

  • Conduct frequent branch visits to assess diagnostic requirements and provide support Communicate and explain bulletins and other technical updates

  • Oversee preparation of tyres, batteries, special tools, and consumables prior to new model launches

  • Promote a strong diagnostic culture to support the AAC network (F1 and CS)

  • Prepare and submit monthly technical reports to principals and management

  • Provide technical interaction and explanations to customers

  • Coordinate with the Parts Department regarding TSB parts, campaigns, and port modifications where items are unavailable

  • Ensure achievement of both financial and non-financial targets

  • Support and prepare for in-house and regional contests

  • Show initiative in attending training and pursuing self-improvement opportunities provided by management

  • Demonstrate punctuality, attendance, and discipline at work

  • Uphold honesty, integrity, and professional ethics

  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with subordinates and superiors

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate in an engineering discipline or a 3-year Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with a major light vehicle dealer or principal

Competencies

  • Strong technical and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to guide and support a team of technicians

  • Team-building skills

  • Computer literacy

Languages

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Arabic is an advantage
