Shift Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Shift Supervisor – Offset Printing is responsible for supervising daily printing operations, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and managing machine operators and support staff in an offset printing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and supervising Production staff.
• Supervise day-to-day offset printing operations to ensure timely and efficient production.
• Plan and monitor production schedules according to job orders and deadlines.
• Ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of offset printing machines.
• Monitor print quality, color consistency, registration, and finishing standards.
• Coordinate with pre-press, finishing, and quality control departments.
• Ensure optimal use of materials such as paper, ink, plates, and chemicals.
• Maintain production records, job reports, and wastage reports.
• Enforce workplace safety, housekeeping, and company policies.
• Train, guide, and evaluate machine operators and helpers.
• Addressing production issues, troubleshooting problems and optimizing workflows to minimize delays.
• Ensuring raw materials are available and properly utilized.
• Effectively communicating with team members, supervisors and other departments.

Qualification:

• DAE in Printing & Graphic Arts

Experience:

3 years of experience in offset printing operations, with supervisory experience preferred.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of offset printing processes, machines, and materials.
• Ability to manage teams and meet production deadlines.
• Effective communication and team management skills
• Knowledge of color management and quality control
• Time management and organizational skills
