Job Summary

The Shipping Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing all shipping and export activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. The role involves preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with freight forwarders and transport companies, and ensuring compliance with customs and international shipping regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bill of lading, delivery notes, and export documents.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport companies to arrange shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and export/import requirements.
  • Track shipments and update internal departments on shipment status.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate shipment scheduling.
  • Verify packing and labeling of goods before dispatch.
  • Maintain shipping records and prepare logistics reports.
  • Resolve shipping delays or documentation issues when they occur.
  • Ensure all shipping activities comply with company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or export operations (preferably in manufacturing).
  • Knowledge of international shipping documentation and customs procedures.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
