Shipping Sales Expert

Job Summary:

The Shipping Sales Expert is responsible for driving sales in the sea and air freight and logistics services industry. The role involves generating new business, managing existing customer relationships, and providing tailored shipping solutions while ensuring compliance with international regulations.

Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Generation:

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities in shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics services.

· Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and expand the customer base.

· Build relationships with potential clients such as importers, exporters, manufacturers, and trading companies to drive growth.

· Negotiate contracts and secure long-term agreements with clients for sea and air freight services.

Customer Relationship Management & Service Delivery:

· Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding shipping inquiries, pricing, and logistics solutions.

· Provide personalized shipping solutions based on client needs, including full container load (FCL), less than container load (LCL), and air freight services.

· Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

· Maintain strong communication and offer timely updates on shipments, delivery schedules, and customs issues.

Freight & Logistics Coordination:

· Work closely with the operations team to ensure timely and accurate shipment handling, booking, and transportation arrangements.

· Provide clients with accurate pricing and delivery schedules based on their needs and preferred shipping methods.

· Monitor market trends and provide recommendations on optimal routes, shipping costs, and logistics solutions.

· Oversee the efficient customs clearance process and ensure shipments are compliant with regulatory requirements.

Reporting, Market Analysis & Networking:

· Prepare and submit sales performance reports, tracking progress towards revenue targets and business development goals.

· Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and analyze competitor activities in the freight and logistics sectors.

· Build strategic partnerships with freight carriers, shipping lines, and logistics companies to improve service offerings and pricing.

· Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to increase brand visibility and awareness.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping sales, or logistics.
  • Strong understanding of shipping, customs regulations, and international trade.
  • Proven success in business development, client management, and sales negotiations.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage sales targets and client expectations.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and freight management tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
