Social Media Specialist – Reels Ideation & Creation (Part-Time, Contract)

Overview
Abode Studios is a boutique creative agency specializing in luxury interior design and lifestyle brands. We're looking for a creative-first Social Media Specialist to join our team on a part-time contract basis — someone who lives and breathes short-form video and has a genuine eye for elevated, visually compelling content.

This role is built for a creator who can watch a trend and immediately think how do we make this ours—not copy it, but translate it into something that feels intentional, original, and high-end.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing fresh, trend-informed Reels concepts tailored to luxury interior design and lifestyle brands
• Writing captions that are engaging, on-brand, and optimized for reach
• Creating and editing Reels from start to finish — including some on-location filming assistance
• Scheduling and posting content to Instagram
• Staying ahead of platform trends and translating them into content ideas that complement rather than copy

What We're Looking For

• A portfolio or feed that demonstrates a refined, high-end aesthetic — your work should feel luxurious without feeling cold
• Strong instincts for trend interpretation — you spot what's working and make it better
• Experience creating short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, etc.)
• Ability to write captions that are warm, compelling, and brand-aligned
• Self-motivated and reliable — this is a contract role with real creative ownership
• Detail-oriented with an eye for visual storytelling

This is an entry-level role, and we care far more about your aesthetic sensibility and creative potential than years of experience.

Requirements

• Experience in luxury, interior design, home, beauty, or lifestyle niches
• Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe, or similar)
• Familiarity with scheduling tools (Later, Planoly, etc.)
