Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Specification Engineer to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and managing technical specifications for engineering and construction projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and international standards. The role requires close coordination with consultants, project teams, and suppliers to ensure the correct selection and implementation of materials, systems, and products throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain detailed technical specifications for engineering and construction projects in accordance with UAE regulations and international standards.
• Collaborate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project specifications align with technical requirements and contractual obligations.
• Provide technical guidance on materials, products, and system selection to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
• Review drawings, product data sheets, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and specification compliance.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers to resolve specification-related queries and technical discrepancies.
• Conduct site inspections and technical evaluations to verify compliance with approved specifications and standards.
• Track and manage changes in specifications during the project lifecycle and ensure proper documentation updates.
• Ensure specifications align with quality assurance, safety standards, and sustainability requirements applicable in the UAE.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and engineering teams to ensure project timelines and deliverables remain aligned with specification requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, submittals, and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in specification engineering within the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and international engineering standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and BIM-related platforms.
• Solid understanding of construction materials, building systems, and engineering practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
