Job Description
- Lead and manage all phases of civil and structural project execution, ensuring works are carried out in strict compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project timelines, and safety regulations.
- Serve as the central point of contact among consultants, contractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders, fostering effective coordination and timely issue resolution.
- Prepare and review detailed site reports, including daily logs, weekly progress summaries, and monthly performance updates, highlighting key milestones, risks, and corrective actions.
- Oversee and update master project schedules, identify critical path activities, and implement recovery strategies to mitigate delays and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular site visits and technical audits to enforce QA/QC protocols and verify compliance with local codes, international standards, and project requirements.
- Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and material data sheets, ensuring alignment with design intent, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Champion Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) compliance across the site, conducting safety briefings and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and risk management practices.
- Support project cost control by monitoring resource usage, validating subcontractor claims, and contributing to budget forecasting and interim payment applications.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, supervisors, and site staff, addressing technical queries and resolving engineering and construction challenges on-site.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including RFIs, NCRs, inspection reports, correspondence logs, as-built records, and variation orders.
- Represent the organization in high-level meetings with clients, consultants, authorities, and other stakeholders, presenting progress reports and action plans as required.
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for value engineering, construction efficiency, and cost/time optimization strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in civil project execution, site management, and team leadership on large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Deep knowledge of construction methodologies, project management practices, QA/QC standards, and local authority regulations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Strong understanding of contract management, technical specifications, and project approval workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, resolve technical issues, and maintain high performance under pressure.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with a focus on proactive problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both verbal and written.
- GCC experience and a valid local driving license are highly desirable.
