Sr. Structural Design Engineer

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team. This role involves leading the design and analysis of structural systems for a variety of projects, with a particular focus on precast concrete applications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and efficiency of our projects while adhering to industry standards and project timelines

Key Accountability Areas

1. Lead the structural design process for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, with a focus on precast concrete systems.
2. Analyze and calculate loads, stresses, and material strengths to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
3. Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS).
4. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
5. Review and approve drawings, calculations, and reports prepared by junior engineers.
6. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with structural designs.
7. Stay up-to-date with advancements in structural engineering techniques and materials, especially in precast concrete technology.
8. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.

Role Accountability

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in structural design engineering, with proven expertise in precast concrete applications.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS….) and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, Eurocodes, BS, PCI….).
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Preferred Experience:
• Hands-on experience in the design and detailing of precast concrete elements, such as panels, beams, and columns.
• Familiarity with precast manufacturing and installation processes.
