Job Purpose

The Senior Technical Business Analyst acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and the in-house software development team. The role ensures that business requirements for e-commerce operations are deeply understood, translated into precise technical specifications, and delivered effectively through Agile practices. The position contributes to continuous improvement of internal systems, operational efficiency, and overall digital capability of the organisation.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis
  • Engage with business teams (operations, finance, logistics, customer support, marketing) to understand processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct detailed requirement workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions.
  • Analyse business needs and convert them into clear functional and technical requirements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mapping.
  • Agile Delivery Support
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams.
  • Break down complex requirements into actionable and prioritized user stories.
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support estimation activities by providing business context and technical insights.
  • Ensure delivery meets business expectations and adheres to defined acceptance criteria.
  • Technical Analysis & Solution Design
  • Work with architects and developers to validate technical feasibility and solution approach.
  • Assist in designing workflows, system integrations, data models, and API specifications.
  • Identify system gaps, logic flaws, or improvement areas and propose efficient solutions.
  • Evaluate and document the impact of changes across systems and processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for e-commerce systems and tools.
  • Partner with QA teams to define test scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Support UAT planning and execution by guiding business users and validating functionality.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors or integration partners when required.
  • Reporting & Project Tracking
  • Track progress of deliverables and highlight risks, dependencies, and issues proactively.
  • Provide weekly updates to leadership on project health, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Maintain documentation repositories and ensure all updates are version-controlled.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify automation opportunities and workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Recommend enhancements based on data-driven insights and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to refining Agile processes and improving delivery quality.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce systems (ERP, OMS, WMS, Inventory, Finance modules).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Rs320,000.00 per month
