The role

We are hiring Staging Designers to support home staging projects. This is a hands-on role that blends design sense with the ability to execute quickly on site.

A typical day may include:

• Selecting inventory and décor
• Driving to a project site and setting a home according to our standards
• Light styling, adjustments, and final walkthrough photos
• Returning inventory to the warehouse and resetting for the next job

Responsibilities

• Stage occupied and vacant homes according to Ascend Design standards
• Load, move, and place accessory and décor safely and efficiently
• Provide direction to Ascend moving and logistics team regarding placement of furniture
• Keep inventory organized during load-out and return
• Communicate clearly with the team about schedule changes, issues, or missing items
• Represent Ascend professionally in client and realtor-facing environments

What we are looking for

Required

• Strong reliability and on-time attendance
• Ability to lift and move furniture and décor (this is a physical role)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work stages with occassional early morning or late afternoon/evenings when needed.
• A good eye for design and styling

Nice to have

• Prior home staging experience
• Interior design, merchandising, or hospitality background
• Experience working from a warehouse environment and handling inventory

Schedule and availability

• Most staging activity happens on weekdays, with early start times.
• We expect contractors to be available for a flexible schedule based on project needs.
• Occasional weekend work may be available.

Compensation

• Starting at $25/hour
• Opportunity for more hours and responsibility based on performance and reliability
