Job Description – Steward Supervisor (Catering Company)

Position: Steward Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Steward Supervisor is responsible for supervising the stewarding team, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene across all production and catering areas, and maintaining cleaning schedules in accordance with food safety and HACCP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the stewarding team during daily catering operations.
• Assign duties and monitor completion of all cleaning tasks.
• Prepare and implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules for the production facility.
• Ensure all kitchen, production, dishwashing, storage, and waste disposal areas are clean and well maintained.
• Coordinate with Production, Kitchen, and Quality teams to support smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Train and guide stewards on proper cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and equipment usage.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance of the stewarding team.
• Ensure sufficient cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are available at all times.
• Report maintenance issues, equipment breakdowns, and manpower requirements to management.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the catering facility.
• Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Steward Supervisor in a catering company, central kitchen, or large-scale food production facility.
• Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
