The Stitching Unit Head has primary responsibility for overseeing the Tailors, managing multiple priorities across the shop floor on a shift. There is a high degree of “in the moment” decision-making that affects the safety, quality, and delivery of the tailors and the good
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for new product development and execution as directed
- Responsible for supervision of Stitching team
- Measure the quality of the stitch garments.
- Responsible to assist/manage cut to pack operations.
- Well Knowledge of production and reconciliation of garments in stitching as well as reconciliation of fabrics.
- Coordinate with other team members (cutting team, planning team / marketing team).
- To ensure for the appropriate working environment for all employees of the stitching unit.
- Coordinate with stitching team for garment and made to measures.
- Issuance of the production order to stitching unit
- Follow up of production with stitching unit
- Prepare and maintain production reports. Develop and execute consistent operating procedures for customers
- Control and follow up the Sampling, Cutting, Sewing, Finishing and Q.C Section.
- To follow up the maintenance of Garments Machines, tools, and other Equipment.
- · Capable to handle complete sewing garments all activities.
- Operation wise hourly production & price knowledge.
- Stitching Unit Head Capable to maintain all types of sewing Quality Goods.
- Sewing staff accompanying evaluator in the walk through are helpful and keen to make any minor changes, on the spot.
- Provides recommendation and input into the employee evaluation and disciplinary processes
- Minimizes waste and cost and ensures conformance to safety and quality standards
- Generate ideas and implement changes in processes and use of equipment to increase efficiency, improve safety and quality, reduce costs, and improve employee morale
- Provide excellent customer service and develop styling skills
Requirements:
- Minimum experience of 5-Year on a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of tailoring processes
- Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor, and schedule work
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
