Store Incharge

Job Description

· Prepare and manage store budgets, controlling expenses.

· Prepare reports for upper management on store performance and key metrics

· Maintain optimal stock levels of medical / non medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.

· Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

· Collaborate with the purchasing department to forecast supply needs and place orders with vendors.

· Oversee the receiving process for all shipments, ensuring that supplies are checked for quality and quantity.

· Manage storage systems to ensure supplies are organized, easily accessible, and compliant with safety regulations.

· Coordinate the timely distribution of supplies to various departments within the hospital.

· Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all inventory movements.

· Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and usage patterns.

· Prepare reports on inventory status, usage trends, and financial expenditures as required.

· Supervise and train store staff on inventory management procedures and safety protocols.

· Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment within the store team.

· Ensure compliance with hospital policies, health regulations, and safety standards.

· Implement best practices for inventory management to reduce waste and enhance operational efficiency.

· Monitor performance and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

· Maintain a high standard, resolving issues and handling complaints.

· Issuance of stock to end users ensuring that all SOPs are followed.

· Stock receiving and GRN.

· Manage / update goods issued/ shortage / remaining in Inventory Software.

· Keep an close eye on expired medicines.

· Any other task assigned by the management.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

· Certification in Inventory Management / Supply Chain (preferred but not mandatory).

· Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in inventory or store management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.

· Hands-on experience with inventory management software and ERP systems.

· Skills & Competencies:

o Strong understanding of inventory control principles and stock management.

o Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

o Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

o Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

o Good communication and team management skills.

o Knowledge of healthcare safety standards and regulations.

o Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

o Ability to identify and prevent stock discrepancies (overstock/shortage/expiry).
