Store Keeper (Construction Site)

Job Summary

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing and controlling construction materials, tools, and equipment at the project site. The role ensures proper receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of materials to support smooth site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming construction materials as per delivery challans and purchase orders
• Maintain accurate stock records for materials, tools, and consumables
• Issue materials to site staff and subcontractors against approved requisitions
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stacking of materials to avoid damage and loss
• Monitor stock levels and inform management for timely reordering
• Maintain daily inward and outward registers, bin cards, and stock ledgers
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and report discrepancies
• Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and site engineers for material planning
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and site storage procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of store area
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for head office

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Intermediate / DAE (preferred)
• 3–5 years of experience as Store Keeper at construction site (high-rise / infrastructure preferred)
• Knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, electrical, plumbing, finishing items, etc.)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of inventory and store management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
• Basic understanding of GRN, stock ledger, and material reconciliation
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Honest, organized, and detail-oriented

Working Conditions

• Site-based position
• May require extended working hours as per project requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
