Storm Water Design Engieer

Position: Storm Water Design Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Storm Water Design Engineer to join our engineering consultancy team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in storm water network design, hydraulic calculations, and authority approvals within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of storm water drainage design calculations and reports.

Design of storm water networks, manholes, catch basins, culverts, detention/retention systems, and outfalls.

Hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., SWMM, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, etc.).

Coordination with road, landscape, utilities, and structural disciplines.

Preparation of detailed drawings, profiles, and BOQs.

Submission and follow-up with local authorities (DMT, ADM, ITC, etc.) for design approvals.

Review of contractor shop drawings and as-built submissions (if required).

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in storm water design.

Previous experience in UAE authority submissions and approvals is mandatory.

Strong knowledge of local standards and regulations.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Preferred:

Experience in large-scale infrastructure or public realm projects.

Familiarity with Abu Dhabi permitting systems (IDAS/IMAS).
