Summer Family Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, proactive, and highly organized Summer Family Assistant to support a busy family during the summer months. This role focuses on household management, seasonal organization, errands, and travel preparation, providing an exciting opportunity to help keep the household running smoothly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and enjoys anticipating needs, planning ahead, and creating structure in a dynamic family environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarize with the family and household routines to provide effective support
• Maintain a clean and organized environment by assisting with light household cleaning tasks
• Organize closets, pantries, toys, and storage areas to maintain clutter-free spaces
• Shop for groceries, household essentials, and summer items (including Costco or other stores)
• Run errands, manage deliveries, and handle product returns
• Help with transportation or errands as needed to support family schedules
• Coordinate with household staff, including Part-Time Cleaners and Maintenance Specialists, to ensure smooth operations
• Prepare for family travel: create packing lists, organize belongings, and assist with packing
• Support seasonal events or gatherings: preparation, guest coordination, and post-event cleanup
• Take clear notes, follow through on tasks, and provide suggestions to improve household efficiency
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and trust at all times

Skills

• Experience as a personal assistant, household manager, or similar support role preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills; able to manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused
• Excellent communication skills; English required, Spanish bilingual a plus
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with apps, devices, and household management tools
• Reliable, punctual, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
