  • When starting a new site, obtain and review all relevant project documents such as architectural and structural drawings, maps, contract agreements, and details of the regional three-member committee.
  • Provide full cooperation to the project committee in initiating the project.
  • Guide the project committee in drafting the project agreement.
  • Ensure that all construction work is executed according to the approved drawings and technical standards, and ensure that the contractor performs work accordingly.
  • Submit a complete report of any incorrect work.
  • Immediately stop and rectify any substandard work.
  • Avoid verbal instructions; maintain proper written records of all site activities. Before starting any task on instruction, verify the details and inform the division in-charge accordingly.
  • The site supervisor will be responsible for all technical aspects of the site and must ensure that the work is completed efficiently and with full attention until completion.
  • If any task is unclear, the supervisor must consult the senior engineer or acting senior supervisor. If still not satisfied, the work should not be started until a meeting with the engineer is arranged through the responsible authority to avoid errors.
  • Ensure all work is carried out under the guidance of the structural engineer, including:
  • Concrete mix ratio
  • Column sizes
  • Footings, short columns, plinth, super columns, roof reinforcement, etc.
  • Proper quantity and binding of steel according to the approved method.
  • The supervisor must be present during any concrete pouring activity. No concrete pouring should take place without the supervisor’s inspection, and the contractor must strictly follow this rule.
  • Submit purchasing requests for required materials. While placing orders, ensure proper planning regarding quantity required, current stock available on site, and timing of need.
  • Maintain a record of all materials available on site in a personal log/diary and check them regularly to prevent damage or loss. Ensure their protection by coordinating with the contractor and project committee.
  • No changes are allowed in architectural or structural drawings without approval. Any modification must first be reported to the responsible authority and implemented only after receiving written approval. Unauthorized changes may lead to disciplinary action against the supervisor.
  • In case of repeated mistakes, the supervisor may be subject to disciplinary review or removal.
  • During every project visit, prepare an effective Daily Progress Report (DPR) and attach it to the project file. Inform the senior authority immediately in case of violations or urgent requirements.
  • Ensure that any repair or rectification work is addressed promptly on site.
  • Guide the project committee during purchasing and ensure proper quality checking and safe storage of materials on site.
  • Ensure necessary site tests are conducted, including:
  • FDT / Proctor Test
  • Speedy Moisture Content Test
  • Slump Test
  • FM Test
  • Pressure Testing of Pipelines
  • Slope / Gradient check of sewerage lines
  • Follow the approved checklist for every stage of work.
  • Cooperate with the property department during the initial site survey.
  • Coordinate with the Planning & Design Department regarding required planning information.
  • Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly construction schedules in coordination with the project committee and ensure implementation.
  • Prepare monthly planning and performance schedules and submit them according to the system.
  • Maintain a dedicated file for each project and update it regularly.
  • Prepare the contractor’s payment bill according to work progress and get it verified by the supervisor/authority.
  • Maintain coordination with all relevant authorities and implement instructions accordingly. Also inform organizational representatives about the department’s policies.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all relevant communications including phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp messages, and emails.

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs45,000.00 per month
