We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supply Chain Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team and oversee our supply chain operations.

Job Description:

Position Overview:

As a Supply Chain Operations Specialist at The Pentagon Food Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective flow of materials, products, and information throughout our supply chain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, monitor inventory levels, and support the delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure product availability.
• Plan and execute inventory control strategies to minimize carrying costs.
• Implement measures to prevent excess or obsolete inventory.

2. Supplier and Vendor Relations:

• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to coordinate deliveries and manage relationships.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and agreements to secure favourable terms.
• Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues promptly.

3. Order Processing and Fulfilment:

• Oversee the order processing and fulfilment cycle.
• Ensure orders are accurately processed and shipped to meet customer expectations.
• Manage backorders, returns, and exceptions.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyse supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Make data-driven recommendations for process enhancements.

5. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all supply chain processes adhere to quality and compliance standards.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct regular audits.
• Collaborate with quality teams to resolve any issues promptly.

6. Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain.
• Implement best practices and recommend enhancements.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience of 1 year in supply chain operations, logistics, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
