Job Purpose

To provide accurate and timely survey data results and work designs in a company standard format. The results are shown in survey data drawings, survey data cross‑sections, volume computations, digital work designs.

To assist in the in‑house training of surveyors.

To maintain a project‑based survey data database which contains the basic project information, pre‑ and post‑survey data.

To manage and oversee survey data processing activities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data for dredging and marine projects.
Principal Accountabilities
-
Process survey data for tenders or from projects into grid models and other usable survey formats.
-
Produce timely and accurate survey data drawings, survey data cross‑sections, actual and theoretical volume calculations that meet the requirements.

Produce supporting documents of preliminary, weekly, interim and final dredging and reclamation based on survey results.

Prepare work designs based on provided design information or construction drawings. Keep updates of changes during execution of project.

Get familiarized with all survey aspects and techniques, office‑ and project‑based.

Installation and troubleshooting of survey equipment; hardware and software will be an asset.

Report and escalate to Head of Survey on project critical issues as needed.

Work according to defined policies and procedures for effective, efficient and professional functioning of the survey division.

Work according to the QA/HSE requirements and procedures.

Work area is NMDC Base and NMDC projects.

Promote and ensure compliance with Organization’s Health & Safety policies.

Coordinate and supervise data collection efforts.

Process and analyze survey data to produce detailed maps and reports.

Develop and implement quality control procedures.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Optimize data processing workflows for efficiency.
Job Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Survey Engineering, Civil Engineering or any relevant Engineering degree.

At least 6 years of relevant experience as a Survey Engineer in infrastructure and Construction companies.

Experience in using AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office, Microsoft Excel, ArcGIS/QGIS, and point cloud software such as Leica Cyclone ; experience with Jean Lutz is a plus
