A Brief Overview

To ensure Middle East (ME) Treaty and Facultative business is administered appropriately and accurately in line with treaty specifications.

To achieve RGA’s goal of using both the Ira and Raptor administration systems for the ME business, as appropriate.

The Middle East Life and Health insurance markets.
What You Will Do
Administration
-
Ensure that the company’s administration standards and time service requirements are applied to the handling of all business received.
-
Ensure that the administration of all ME business adheres to RGA treaties.
-
For your specific treaty and / or client responsibility, provide administration data for input to accounting records, valuation systems and regulatory returns.

Specifically this will include but is not limited to the following:
-
Processing of client statements. Processing files / data related to the receipt of reinsurance premiums, commissions, brokerage, and the co-ordination of claims processing with the CE&ME Claims Administration Team, etc.

Allocation of cash funds received and disbursed to our clients, in our core administration systems in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensuring all incoming and outgoing files and cash are tracked and processed through to completion
-
Ensure OFAC and compliance controls are carried out within the required timeframes and in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure month end deadlines are met. This includes working with both team colleagues and members of the wider CE&ME Admin Operations Team as well as EMEA Finance and Valuations to ensure data can be processed in a timely and accurate manner to achieve this goal.

Ensure administration data is provided to retrocession clients in a timely and accurate manner.

Assist with policy exhibit calculation and upload to administration system.

Ensure administration processes and procedures are fully documented.
-
Maintain a professional and working relationship with clients, both internal and external.
-
Follow up with cedants on outstanding payments.
Systems Project Work
Assist the CE & ME Administration Operations Team with the conversion of ME business onto Ira. This includes the following:

Assist in the analysis of data and provide an understanding of the treaty wording and receipt of client and third-party data. This may be related to both premium and claims administration and will include reconciliation of accounts at the point of migration / transition.

Working according to an agreed scheduled plan.
Assist the Raptor and Ira systems teams based in both EMEA and the U.S. This includes the following:

Assist with any queries related to system processing
-
Assist with any User Acceptance Testing of any Raptor or Ira software releases as and when required.
Reinsurance
-
Maintain a good knowledge of reinsurance practices and specific RGA treaty practices as they pertain to the management and handling of transfer of risk.
Management Information
-
Provide Management Information or respond to ad hoc queries.

Provide information as required for other EMEA downstream users.
Technical
-
Gain good knowledge of Life and Health Reinsurance and its implications within administration.
-
Gain good understanding of client treaties, statements, premium and claims data.
-
Gain good, technical knowledge of Raptor and Ira modules.
-
Fully document procedures and processes.
Interactions
-
Reporting to the Head of Administration Operations, CE & ME and working closely with other members of the CE & ME and Toronto Administration teams.
-
During any migrations work or systems releases, work closely with the Raptor and Ira Subject Matter Experts / Business Analysts.

Work closely with other EMEA downstream users, such as Finance and Valuations.
Qualifications & Experience
-
At least 3-year experience in health or life insurance/reinsurance, preferably in the GCC market
-
Good knowledge of Life & Health insurance/reinsurance products. Prefer candidates with experience in life insurance or reinsurance markets.

Strong accounting / financial background.

Good understanding of, and proficient in, MS Excel.

Must have the ability to organize and manage own time.

Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels and across different departments

Good oral and written communication skills.

Desire to maintain a professional and working relationship with internal stakeholders.

Ability to contribute to the team building spirit with the company.
