Duties & Responsibilities of Technical Sales Manager
(Chemical & Solvent Industry – Pakistan)
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement annual and quarterly sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends in Pakistan.
- Identify new business opportunities in industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, textile, paints & coatings, plastics, adhesives, and solvent-consuming sectors.
- Expand customer base through market mapping, lead generation, and distributor development.
- Analyze competitors’ products, pricing, and market positioning to maintain competitiveness.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue growth, and margin objectives.
2. Technical Sales & Customer Support
- Provide technical consultation to customers regarding product selection, application, performance, and compatibility.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical training for customers and distributors.
- Understand customer processes and recommend suitable chemical or solvent solutions to optimize performance and cost.
- Troubleshoot customer issues related to product quality, application problems, or performance failures.
- Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal R&D / production teams.
3. Key Account Management
- Manage and grow key industrial accounts, ensuring long-term business relationships.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and supply agreements within approved authority limits.
- Ensure timely order processing, delivery coordination, and after-sales service.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve complaints in coordination with QA and operations teams.
4. Market & Product Development
- Identify market gaps and provide input for new product development or customization based on customer needs.
- Assist in launching new chemicals or solvent products, including technical documentation and market positioning.
- Gather and report market intelligence on industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer requirements.
- Support management in developing pricing strategies based on cost, competition, and market demand.
5. Regulatory, Safety & Compliance Support
- Ensure all sales activities comply with Pakistani regulatory requirements, and import/export regulations.
- Support customers with MSDS, TDS, COA, and regulatory documentation.
- Promote safe handling, storage, and transportation practices of chemicals and solvents.
- Coordinate with HSE teams to address customer safety concerns and audits.
6. Sales Team Leadership & Coordination
- Guide and support sales engineers, executives, and distributors with technical and commercial knowledge.
- Conduct product and application training for internal sales teams.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching to improve sales effectiveness.
- Coordinate closely with production, procurement, logistics, finance, and quality assurance departments.
7. Planning, Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit sales forecasts, monthly reports, and market analysis to senior management.
- Track sales performance, customer pipeline, and inventory requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing history, and technical correspondence.
- Assist management in budgeting and strategic planning.
8. Customer & Distributor Relationship Management
- Develop strong relationships with customers, distributors, and channel partners across Pakistan.
- Conduct regular market visits, plant audits, and customer meetings.
- Evaluate distributor performance and recommend improvements or changes where necessary.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
9. Commercial & Financial Responsibility
- Ensure profitable sales by managing pricing, credit terms, and payment recovery.
- Coordinate with finance department for credit approvals and outstanding receivables.
- Minimize business risk through careful assessment of customers and market conditions.
10. Continuous Improvement & Professional Development
- Stay updated on chemical technologies, solvent applications, and industry best practices.
- Participate in technical seminars, workshops, and supplier trainings.
- Propose process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Eligibility Criteria ;
· Qualification ; Chemical Engineer / Msc ( Chemistry – Applied Chemistry)
· Professional Experience ; 5-7 years in Print, paint, packaging and solvent industry in relevant / same domain
· Age Bracket; 35 – 40 Years

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
