Technical Support Engineer (VoIP / Asterisk)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Wavetel Business Ltd is a UK-based telecoms provider delivering hosted VoIP, SIP trunking, cloud PBX, and business broadband solutions. We are looking for an Technical Support Engineer to oversee our VoIP and PBX support operations from our Lahore office.

You will be looking VoIP and SIP issues, and help build the processes and standards that keep our operations running at their best.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide advanced support for VoIP, PBX, and SIP-related issues
  • Work across multiple PBX platforms BT, 3CX, Yeastar, and Asterisk-based systems
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SIP servers, domains, and VoIP services
  • Handle escalated issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Oversee remote customer support and maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Develop support processes, documentation, and best practices
  • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, field, billing, sales)

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong hands-on experience with Asterisk
  • Deep knowledge of VoIP technologies and PBX systems
  • Solid understanding of SIP protocols, server and domain management
  • Background in remote support environments
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's in engineering or related field
  • Experience with cloud-based telephony solutions
  • Networking knowledge: VoIP, SIP, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls
  • Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools
  • VoIP, Networking, or Asterisk certifications (a plus)

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
