Toddler Room Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Toddler Room Caregiver to join our early childhood education team. A full time position will begin SEPTEMBER 2026. A part time position will begin April 14, 2026. Our September 2026 Tot room will have a maximum of 4 children, in the 15-18 month range, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm. The ideal candidate will be passionate about nurturing young children, fostering their development, and creating a safe, engaging environment for toddlers. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Duties

  • Supervise and care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Assist with feeding, diapering, and maintaining hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations
  • Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage good social skills and cooperation
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment equipped with suitable learning materials
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's daily activities and developmental updates
  • Collaborate with team members to create individualized care plans for children with special needs or developmental delays
  • Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary

Skills

  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a structured and nurturing environment
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively
  • First aid certification preferred; CPR training is a plus
  • Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
  • Compassionate caregiving approach with patience and adaptability
  • Background in early childhood education or related coursework is desirable
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
