Job Title: Transport Supervisor (Oil & Gas Sector) Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee and manage transportation operations at our project site in Qatar. This site-based role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant movement of vehicles, drivers, and manpower while meeting company and client transport requirements. The Transport Supervisor will support daily logistics, enforce safety standards, and maintain strong coordination with project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily transport operations, vehicle deployments, and driver assignments
- Ensure all vehicles comply with client standards, Qatar traffic regulations, and company HSE policies
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles, logbooks, and documentation to ensure validity and compliance
- Monitor driver performance, attendance, and adherence to safety rules
- Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of vehicles to and from project sites
- Manage transport-related incidents, breakdowns, or emergencies and ensure timely escalation
- Maintain records of fleet utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and transport logs
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to management and client representatives
- Liaise with workshop and maintenance teams for repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance plans
- Support transport audits, inspections, and client compliance verification
- Ensure site access requirements (IDs, permits, documents) are met by all drivers and vehicles
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in transport supervision within the Oil & Gas, EPC, or construction sector
- Strong knowledge of fleet management, Qatar road regulations, and transport compliance
- Good understanding of vehicle documentation, certifications, and transport safety requirements
- Experience leading multicultural driver teams and site-based operations
