American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience in pediatric and adult critical care for a night shift position at a Magnet, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.

Short-term acute care hospital setting at a 632-bed Magnet, Level 1 Trauma teaching facility
-
Combined Respiratory and Neuro Diagnostics unit serving both pediatric and adult critical care populations
-
Experience working in ER and adult ICU settings
-
Respiratory care procedures include airway management, vent management, medication administration, O2 therapy, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizer therapy, suctioning, and pulmonary toileting
-
Neuro diagnostics work involves O2 saturation monitoring as part of polysomnography/sleep studies
-
Equipment used includes Servo I and Hamilton G5 ventilators

Epic EMR — experience required; training provided during orientation

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)

Every third weekend required

Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric and adult critical care — required

Level 1 Trauma setting experience required

Active MI respiratory therapy license required by start date (pending license not accepted; compact license not accepted in MI) — license required if applicable

Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and CRTT

Epic EMR experience required

Proof of high school level education required

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Provide respiratory and neuro diagnostics care across pediatric and adult critical care populations

Completion of pre-start orientation modules required; modules vary by specialty

Burgundy/wine scrubs required

Local candidates accepted at the same travel rate — no radius rule applies

Former core staff members must wait 12 months before returning; eligibility should be verified prior to consideration

RTO must be submitted at the time of profile; maximum of 5 RTO days per assignment
