Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week NICU night shift travel contract in Austin, TX, requiring at least 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience and active ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

Details

  • NICU setting within a hospital respiratory care department in Austin, TX
  • Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekend schedule
  • No on-call requirements
  • 13-week contract duration
  • Common procedures include nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management
  • Scrub colors: olive green tops and black bottoms

Requirements

  • Active RRT license and certification required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy
  • Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the role
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics, NRP Advanced 9th Edition), and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • SSN (US only) and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates will be considered
  • NICU and PICU experience is preferred and will be prioritized during candidate review
  • First-time travelers may be considered given the 1-year minimum experience requirement
