American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week NICU night shift travel contract in Austin, TX, requiring at least 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience and active ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Rotating weekend schedule

13-week contract duration

Common procedures include nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management

Scrub colors: olive green tops and black bottoms

Active RRT license and certification required; license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy

Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the role

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics, NRP Advanced 9th Edition), and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted)

Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

SSN (US only) and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates will be considered

NICU and PICU experience is preferred and will be prioritized during candidate review

First-time travelers may be considered given the 1-year minimum experience requirement
