Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift position (with some night flexibility) at a community hospital in Massachusetts, requiring an active MA license and AHA certifications.

Details

• Day shift hours of 6:00 AM–6:30 PM with flexibility to cover some night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Respiratory Therapy department at a community hospital in Massachusetts
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required; MA conditional licenses are not accepted
• Associate degree or equivalent required
• BLS certification required from AHA or American Red Cross (AHA preferred)
• NRP certification required from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AHA preferred)
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Administers respiratory therapy treatments to assigned patients and performs various related technical duties
• Reports to the Clinical Manager of Respiratory Care and operates within established organizational and departmental policies
• Local candidates whose permanent residence is within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but will be placed at a reduced pay rate
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
• Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate expense
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
