American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.

Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
-
RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric ICU patients

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00

Every other weekend required

Holiday coverage is required; only 1 holiday off can be approved per contract

Floating within scope or between like units is required, including potential float to a sister campus

Block scheduling is not available

Epic EMR is used at this facility

On-call is not required

Current RRT credential required

State or compact RT license required; pending license not accepted — license required if applicable

Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required

Comfort working with both adult and pediatric ICU patient populations required

Epic EMR experience required

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white

Pre-start facility modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment (estimated 4–10 hours)

RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract; all RTO requests are subject to manager's discretion

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before needing to be away for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position

Any missed shifts due to call-outs may require a makeup shift at the department's discretion
