Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with recent critical care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Florence, SC.

Details

  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday rotation required
  • Floating within scope is required, including to all areas of the hospital including labor and delivery
  • No floating to sister facilities
  • Charting via Epic
  • 396-bed acute care hospital
  • Free parking on site

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required; recent critical care experience required
  • RRT credential required; CRTs will not be considered
  • Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required at time of start
  • All AHA certifications required and must be in hand at time of start: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT)
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • SSN and driver's license required for consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
  • Caribbean Blue scrubs required
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
  • Candidates who have previously worked at any MUSC location as permanent staff or PRN must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
  • Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane months are August and September
