Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment in a hospital respiratory therapy department in Fredericksburg, VA.

Details

• 140-bed hospital setting in Fredericksburg, VA
• Respiratory Therapy department with a focus on NICU patients; adult patient experience also required
• Equipment used includes Hamilton C1, V60, Hamilton MR1, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and Bubble CPAP
• Charting via Meditech EMR
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule requires 3 shifts per week, including every other weekend
• No floating required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of general RT experience
• NICU experience required
• Must have active experience in the specialty within the last 6 months
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics, Advanced 9th Edition) required for RT staff caring for neonates
• NRP Preferred; however, can be obtained after hire — confirm current status
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• Professional reference required (2 references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to NICU and adult patients, including ventilator management and high-flow respiratory support
• All black scrubs required
• ACLS required per facility policy for Respiratory Therapists
