American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment in a hospital respiratory therapy department in Fredericksburg, VA.

140-bed hospital setting in Fredericksburg, VA

Respiratory Therapy department with a focus on NICU patients; adult patient experience also required
-
Equipment used includes Hamilton C1, V60, Hamilton MR1, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and Bubble CPAP
-
Charting via Meditech EMR
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
-
Schedule requires 3 shifts per week, including every other weekend

No floating required
-
13-week contract
-
Active RRT credential required; license required if applicable

Minimum 2 years of general RT experience
-
NICU experience required
-
Must have active experience in the specialty within the last 6 months
-
BLS and ACLS required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
-
NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics, Advanced 9th Edition) required for RT staff caring for neonates
-
NRP Preferred; however, can be obtained after hire — confirm current status
-
US SSN and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
-
Professional reference required (2 references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
-
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted

Provide respiratory therapy services to NICU and adult patients, including ventilator management and high-flow respiratory support

All black scrubs required

ACLS required per facility policy for Respiratory Therapists
