American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract in an 854-bed hospital's Respiratory Services department in Asheville, NC.

Large 854-bed hospital serving as the region's referral center with a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and children's hospital
-
Respiratory Services department supporting both adult and pediatric/neonatal service lines
-
Night shift staffing includes 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines
-
Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients
-
Equipment includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices

EMR: Cerner

Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Floating required to all critical care units and floors

At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

13-week contract
-
Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
-
Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)

Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
-
Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the respiratory therapy specialty
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred; required if caring for neonates
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

Provide respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
-
Work within a large respiratory services team alongside 120 staff members
-
Gray/pewter scrubs required

NRP preferred for all staff and required for those assigned to neonatal care

Certifications from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) are accepted
