Trucking Dispatcher for Fleet of Local Dump Trucks

Nickolas Savko & Sons, Inc., located on the northwest side of Columbus, currently is selecting a candidate for a position of Dispatcher for our Dispatch & Operations Center. The dispatcher is responsible for scheduling, organizing and monitoring a fleet of Dump Trucks in Columbus and surrounding counties. This fleet works year-round for only 2 customers and we own both companies.

**FROM MID-APRIL TO MID-DECEMBER THIS POSITION IS PRESENT FROM 6:00am TO 4:30pm FIVE DAYS A WEEK. LIGHTER HOURS IN THE WINTER MONTHS**

Our industry is like the farming industry as our operations are weather dependent. We have to deliver and stock aggregates on our construction projects when it is dry so that the trucks don't get stuck in the field and/or track mud onto public streets.

Candidate must have a business mind, and be of a personally organized mindset, be able to plan and think ahead and understand that wet weather conditions can be a problem when delivering to construction sites and fields. Must be able to adapt to ever-changing weather conditions and last-minute orders from field personnel.

Good computer and math skills are necessary to calculate tonnages hauled each day on excel spreadsheets.

Must be very familiar with the major road and expressway systems throughout Central Ohio and Delaware County.

Yearly pay rate range can be $75,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience, knowledge, and personal organization.

Ideal candidate will be business-minded, and able to adapt to unexpected changes caused by weather at the jobsite requesting delivery (i.e., mud, rain, snow situations, etc.)

Candidate must have experience and knowledge with Samsara GPS/Tracking program.

Compensation is based on experience, personal organization, and attention to your fleet +/-20 trucks. As well as your ability to bridge a relationship with the drivers to detect potential driver concerns early. Our drivers are reasonable and polite and enjoy working with like-minded individuals.
