Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Upwork Bidder to manage our client acquisition efforts on the Upwork platform. You will be responsible for finding high-value projects, crafting compelling and personalized proposals, and securing new clients for our agency. Your primary goal is to convert our service offerings into signed contracts by winning competitive bids.
Your work will be the frontline of our business, directly impacting our revenue and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Sourcing & Analysis: Proactively search and filter the Upwork job feed to identify high-potential, relevant projects that match our service offerings.
- Proposal Writing: Craft persuasive, customized, and error-free proposals for each project. Avoid generic templates and demonstrate a clear understanding of the client's needs.
- Client Communication: Initiate and maintain professional communication with potential clients through Upwork messages before and after proposal submission.
- Bid Strategy: Develop and implement an effective bidding strategy, including determining the optimal bid amount, crafting compelling cover letters, and selecting key portfolio pieces.
- Profile Optimization: Continuously help improve and update our company Upwork profile and job success score by ensuring high-quality interactions.
- Market Research: Stay updated on Upwork trends, client behaviors, and competitor strategies to refine our bidding approach.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all proposals sent, response rates, interview rates, and win rates. Provide regular reports on performance metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Upwork Bidder, Proposal Writer, or a similar role with a verifiable track record of winning projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. The ability to write clearly, persuasively, and with perfect grammar is non-negotiable.
- Deep understanding of the Upwork platform and its ecosystem.
- Strong research skills to quickly understand client needs and industry-specific terminology.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple proposals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets (e.g., win rate, number of contracts secured).
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
- Experience working in or bidding for projects in the Web Development, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing industry.
- Understanding of SEO principles to find hidden gem projects.
- Experience using tools like Upwork Plus or other freelancer productivity tools.
