Used Car Dealership Bookkeeper

About Us

Ideal Auto Group is a fast-growing automotive company operating multiple used vehicle dealerships, collision centers, and finance operations. We are looking for a detail-oriented Automotive Bookkeeper to manage dealership accounting, deal processing, and financial recordkeeping.

Key ResponsibilitiesDealership Accounting

• Post vehicle deals and reconcile sales paperwork
• Record vehicle purchases and inventory costs
• Manage floor plan and inventory accounting
• Reconcile daily deposits and sales transactions

Accounts Payable / Receivable

• Process vendor invoices and payments
• Track receivables from lenders and customers
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements

Financial Reporting

• Maintain accurate general ledger
• Assist with monthly financial statements
• Prepare accounting reports for management

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all deals comply with accounting procedures
• Maintain organized records for audits and tax preparation
• Coordinate with controller or finance director

Required

• 2+ years bookkeeping experience
• Experience with bank reconciliation
• Strong Excel skills
• High attention to detail

Preferred

• Automotive dealership accounting experience
• Knowledge of vehicle inventory accounting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
