We’re seeking a visionary leader to shape and elevate Group-wide General Services across AD Ports. As Vice President – General Services, you’ll drive operational excellence, digital transformation, and cost efficiency across facilities, fleet, travel, and employee services. You’ll lead modernization and monetization initiatives that turn support functions into strategic enablers of growth — ensuring service delivery that’s smart, sustainable, and aligned with AD Ports’ global expansion ambitions.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to lead the strategic planning and delivery of General Services across AD Ports Group and its clusters, encompassing facilities, fleet, travel, logistics, and vendor operations. The role ensures cost-efficient and compliant service delivery that enables core business functions, while driving digital transformation, operational excellence, and service monetization to support organizational growth and global expansion.
Responsibilities
Group Wide General Service Strategy & Leadership
:

Define and implement a Group-wide General Services strategy aligned to AD Ports’ vision and cluster mandates.

Position General Services as a strategic enabler for clusters, ensuring that facilities, fleet, travel, and support services scale with AD Ports’ global footprint.

Drive modernization and automation of general services (smart buildings, automated fleet tracking, digital travel & ticketing).

Identify monetization opportunities (e.g., Travel & Ticketing, facility rentals, shared fleet services, internal chargeback models).
Cluster-Level Service Delivery

Ensure cluster-specific customization of services while maintaining Group standards:

Digital: Technology-enabled facilities (smart offices, IoT-driven energy management).

Regional office facilities, employee travel and logistics aligned to Group policies.

Ensure SLA frameworks are in place for each cluster to maintain service consistency and accountability.
Policy Control & Governance

Establish centralized governance policies covering facilities, travel, vendor management, fleet, and employee services.

Regularly review and update Delegation of Authority (DoA) to balance Group-level control with cluster-level execution efficiency.

Implement structured governance mechanisms: audits, compliance reviews, risk registers, and performance dashboards.
Costing & Budgeting Optimization

Lead Group-wide budgeting and costing models for General Services.

Implement cost optimization initiatives across clusters (energy efficiency, preventive maintenance, vendor consolidation).

Track spend variance, ROI of service initiatives, and cost-to-serve per cluster.

Ensure transparency through internal chargebacks and cluster-level financial dashboards.
Monetization & Service Delivery Innovation

Identify and develop monetization models and revenue generation opportunities (e.g. internal chargebacks, shared services, facility rentals, external service offerings).

Design service delivery models that balance efficiency, quality, and revenue potential.

Explore synergies between general services and other business units (e.g. using excess facility capacity, fleet services offered to external affiliates).
Project & Infrastructure Delivery

Oversee major facilities projects across clusters (office fit-outs, existing facilities, rent vs buy models, campus upgrades).

Ensure projects meet contractual, safety, and compliance standards, and are delivered on time and within budget.

Manage contractors, consultants, and suppliers; mitigate risks in execution.

Provide advisory input on master planning and design for new office spaces
Travel & Employee Services

Oversee Group travel & ticketing operations, ensuring policy compliance, cost optimization, and seamless employee experience.

Monitor performance of travel agents, airlines, and vendors; renegotiate contracts to maximize value.

Ensure employee-facing services (cafeteria, reception, mail, courier, parking, shuttle services) are efficient, employee-friendly, and scalable across clusters.
Reporting, Analytics & Insights

Develop dashboards and KPIs to track performance, costs, utilization, and monetization across clusters.

Report regularly to CHRO, CFO, and ExCom, highlighting risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives.

Benchmark AD Ports’ General Services performance against global port & logistics peers.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.

Fluency in English is required. Arabic is an added advantage

A minimum 15 years of experience in a similar role with at least 8 years with general services / facilities / corporate support experience

Deep experience across property management, fleet, travel, and vendor management in complex, multi-cluster organizations.

Strong background in budgeting, costing, and monetization models.

Proven track record of delivering large-scale facilities projects in line with international standards.

Strong understanding of compliance, health & safety, and risk management in a global, regulated environment.

Experience managing multi-geography teams and cluster-specific services.

Excellent leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills (ExCom, cluster CEOs, CFOs)
