This position is part of the Marketing and Strategic Communications (MSC) team within Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM). Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Content Strategy and the Senior Director of MSC, this position:
Creates videos and still photography to support student recruitment by showcasing student stories and highlighting university impact and rankings across all campuses (Columbus, Lima, Newark, Marion, Mansfield, and Wooster (ATI)).
Creates highly visual long-, medium-, and short-form videos that support strategic priorities for use across websites, emails, social media channels, and paid advertising campaigns.
Serves as a visual content strategist and works with MSC team members and campus stakeholders to identify and/or refine visual storytelling opportunities using an omnichannel perspective.
Manages and executes video pre-production and production processes and creates multi-layered visual content tailored to resonate with unique audiences.
Analyzes content performance across channels and provides insights and recommendations.
Incorporates accessibility requirements into all deliverables and utilizes digital storytelling best practices to inform the ideation, production, editing, and sharing of content.
Actively seeks out new trends related to content creation, AI, visual storytelling, and video at Ohio State and beyond.
Performs other related duties as assigned. For example, supporting non-video content development work for regional campuses.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant videography and editing experience required. Your own personal transportation is required for travel between Columbus and regional campuses as needed for video/content.
Desired: 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products and advanced videography and photography experience in a higher education space or related field. Demonstrated experience working within an organization to turn marketing ideas or requests into reality with actionable results in a team-based work environment. Ability to interact professionally with a variety of populations.
Travel: Required for Columbus locations and regional campuses.
Format: Hybrid (2 days in-person required)
The pay range for this job profile is $51,500 - $67,250. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
