Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar team
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining experience
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with sales transaction processing is essential
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently through effective time management and organization
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs
• Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation practices in the food industry
• Previous experience with food handling, serving, bussing, cashiering or host/hostess duties is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality and guest relations
