WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations for shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory control.
• Optimize workflow and space utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Schedule and manage staff to meet operational demands, including setting shifts, monitoring breaks, and approving time off.
• Coordinate logistics with transportation providers and internal departments (e.g., procurement, sales).
• Maintain physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

Inventory & Quality Control

• Implement and maintain accurate inventory control systems (e.g., using a Warehouse Management System or WMS).
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
• Ensure quality standards are met for all incoming and outgoing goods.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory and operations.

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, coach, and manage warehouse personnel.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Foster a positive and safe working environment and motivate staff to achieve maximum productivity.
• Handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution as needed.

Safety and Compliance

• Develop and enforce strict health and safety policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Ensure all staff are properly trained in safe operation of equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Maintain security of the warehouse and inventory.

Budgeting and Reporting

• Manage the warehouse budget including labor, supplies, and equipment.
• Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time shipping, inventory accuracy, and labor costs.
• Implement cost-reduction strategies while maintaining operational standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar supervisory role.
• A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is often preferred, but extensive experience can sometimes substitute.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED7,500.00 per month
