MDP, located in Lahore, is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of bookkeeping and accountancy experience, with a strong educational background.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Record and maintain financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and various financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with audits and other financial assessments.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Completed a professional accounting designation or is in process
  • +3 years of experience working in accounting including AP, AR, payroll, intercompany transactions, consolidation, multiple currencies, and audit experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
