Job Description
To ensure the overall safety, security, and administrative support functions of office and plant operations by managing the guard force, support staff, logistics, and coordination with internal departments and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Management
- Supervise and lead the team of security guards, ensuring shift scheduling, vigilance, and discipline.
- Maintain custody of keys for all floors, stores, and plant areas, ensuring controlled access at all times.
- Oversee CCTV and surveillance systems in coordination with IT; ensure functionality and monitoring protocols.
- Manage overnight incoming containers and outgoing consignments to ensure proper security and logging.
- Monitor city-wide conditions (strikes, unrest, alerts) and provide timely recommendations for operational safety to the management.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and relevant authorities when required.
Safety & Emergency Readiness
- Ensure fire safety measures are in place and functional; organize periodic drills and checks.
- Be available for after-hour emergencies or unexpected site issues, ensuring presence when required.
Administrative & Facilities Oversight
- Supervise admin/support staff including drivers, tea boys, office assistants, cleaners, and guards.
- Coordinate office transport requirements, especially for production-related logistics.
- Handle requests of general nature including exhibition setups, seminars, events, or any facility-related activities.
Monitoring & Compliance
- Oversee daily in/out movement of staff, vehicles, goods, and visitors.
- Maintain close oversight on scrap disposal, ensuring transparency and proper documentation.
- Monitor and manage cash handling where required for operational support.
- Liaise with government agencies for scheduled visits, inspections, or collections.
Schedule Discipline
- Report 30 minutes before official office hours and leave 30 minutes after to supervise opening and closing protocols i.e., Office Timings: 8.30 AM-6.30 PM
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (ex-Armed Forces personnel are encouraged to apply).
- 5–7 years of experience in industrial/plant security and facilities management.
- Strong leadership, crisis management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible and extended hours when required.
- Familiarity with security technologies (CCTV, access control systems).
- Must be reliable, disciplined, and maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters.
