Job Title: Area Operator (Dewatering)

Location: Thar, Sindh

Job Summary:

The dewatering Operator is primarily responsible for the monitoring, evaluating, round visits & eagle eye vigilance of operational aspects of these sections in a safe and efficient manner during the shift. He is directed by Shift Engineer for maintaining optimum parameters of the section to ensure compliance of the operating guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot dewatering pumps, transformers, and associated equipment via SCADA.

Maintain desired water levels and ensure pumps operate within safe parameters.

Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs.

Monitor water chemistry, safety devices, and fire detection systems.

Respond promptly to alarms, malfunctions, and emergency situations.

Maintain accurate logbooks, reports, and operational records.

Coordinate with supervisors and field operators during start-up/shutdown.

Ensure compliance with HSE policies, SEQS standards, and labor laws.

Handle work permits and ensure safety of maintenance and operations staff.

Key Requirements:

8–10 years of relevant experience in maintenance of heavy machinery.

DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineering) in Mechanical or a related discipline (preferred).

Proficiency in reading and interpreting workshop and parts manuals.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in construction/mining equipment.

Proven hands-on maintenance experience.

Excellent supervisory, organizational, and problem-solving skills
