Role Overview
Responsibilities
Evaluate individual needs to determine the most effective assistive devices, such as screen readers, voice recognition software, or alternative input devices
Install, configure, and maintain specialized hardware and software across various platforms to ensure accessibility.
Modify existing software settings or create custom scripts to optimize user interfaces for patients with limited motor or visual capabilities.
Conduct training sessions for patients, caregivers, and educators on how to use Assistive Technology devices effectively in daily life or classroom settings.
Work alongside Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists to ensure that technical solutions align with the patient’s clinical rehabilitation goals.
Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for assistive devices, ensuring minimal downtime for users who rely on them for communication.
Stay updated on the latest global trends in inclusive design, AI-driven accessibility tools, and universal design for learning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, OR Graduation in Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics with a 01-year Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized institute.
Age Limit: 24–35 Years.
Proficiency in OS accessibility features (TalkBack, VoiceOver, Narrator).
Strong analytical skills to interpret data from Econ/Stats backgrounds for user progress tracking.
Knowledge of AAC (Augmented and Alternative Communication) software.
